Thompson backs SWAT ruling

Vancouver Province newspaper columnist Joey Thompson has written a column backing the recent supreme court ruling against the police use of SWAT style drug raids.This came as quite a shock as her recent articles have been so radically pro prohibition that this comes as a surprise. The article cited recent cases in which death and injury were the result. This could well spell the end of this type of overzealous police tactic and coming from a proponent of drug war policy it may signal that the message is finally getting through to even the most ardent supporter of the drug war.
